Procedure and schedule of Admission to First Year / Direct Second Year Engineering

The procedure of admissions and distribution of seats for admissions under Minority Quota/ Institute Level/ CAP Seats/ Vacant Seats (if any after the CAP rounds), are as per the rules of DTE, Maharashtra State.

As the College has been granted Christian Religious Minority status by Govt. of Maharashtra, 51% of the total seats in each branch are reserved for candidates belonging to the Christian Religion.

For Minority Seats, the admissions shall be done according to the DTE Admission rules.

No communication will be sent to the individual candidates. It is the responsibility of the candidates to see the College notice board/ Website and present themselves for counseling rounds along with parent/ guardian and with all the necessary documents and Demand Draft for the prescribed fee drawn in favour of St. John College of Engineering and Management, payable at Mumbai, at the scheduled time and date specified. Failure to bring the prescribed fee at the time of counseling and admission will entail loss of candidature.

Assignment of merit number

Each eligible candidate who has submitted application form in person for admission against Institute Level Seats/ Vacant Seats (if any after the CAP rounds) on or before the last date prescribed for the submission of application forms for admission will be assigned a merit number according to DTE guidelines (as detailed in the DTE admission brochure available on https://www.dte.org.in). Merit list of each of the categories – Institute Level Seats/ Vacant Seats (if any after the CAP rounds) will be displayed separately. Assignment of a merit number does not indicate or ensure admission to any seat.
